FRAMING & RESTORING
The Framing and Restoring service which has been an integral part of the Piers Feetham Gallery since its inception in 1982 is under the management and ownership of Michael Dawnay and Alison Thomas.
We frame not only paintings and drawings but also undertake more complex items such as fabrics, fans and three dimensional relief pieces. We offer a wide selection of natural wood and ready-finished frames; we make up bespoke painted, decorated and gilded frames and can produce mirrors and box frames to order.
We use only conservation friendly materials and can advise on the best methods to frame and mount valuable items.
We can advise and deal with the conservation of works on paper that have had flood or other accidental damage, or have simply suffered the ravages of time. We are also experienced in the care and restoration of oil paintings, and offer a frame restoration service.
